– critique from a class on the first draft of my synthesis paper. Yes! I wholeheartedly agree with him. I am not really sure how to fix it though.
today I am thankful for...
my teeth! Wow, I didn’t realize until today how straight they were, especially my top ones. Thanks, Mom and Dad for paying for my braces and thank you, teeth, for staying put.

I will write back to people as soon as I read their messages.
Travel light, live light, spread the light, be the light.

a million trees would be saved if...
people made their margins smaller.
it's 10:50 in the morning
and I still haven’t finished this 6-page paper. After adding footnotes (ayúdenme!), I have 4.5 pages. I can’t think anymore. On top of another 1.5 pages, I have a two-ish page journal to write, due at the same time. Ahh! I am going crazy.

Joe: She was hot, man.
other guy: Yeah, but I was grossed out when someone said she had a rash.
Joe: Yeah, I saw the bumps but she was still hot, man.
other guy: Yeah, she was pretty hot.
equal education
When my English teacher said that we had to provide reasons why people should fight for equal education, I was dumbfounded. Uh, why the heck would anyone NOT want equal education? Okay, thinking about it now, I guess there are a bunch of people out there who think it’s a waste of money and they only want to educate their race/sex/social class, but still. Common. Really? Guess I didn’t...
keys, keys, keys
Hey, guess what. I was wearing m’fancy Payless muse shoes and decided to write on my door wall. After I was done writing an amusing message, I turned the doorknob and yep! Locked. With my keys, phone, and ACCESS card inside and the TV and lights on. Lovely…
So I had asked around if anyone had Mari’s phone number. No luck. Went down to the lobby and called Campus Safety. Waited...

“I’m very curious about what I’ll look like when I’m older, about how I am meant to look. I’m starting to look like my mother more and more. One day she will pass away, and I want to be reminded of her when I see my own face.”
I would say, “Get a room,” but yours is right above mine. Please try...

funky
I have been in a funky mood for the past three+ weeks. And by “funky,” I mean horribly awful. It’s not just missing home but essentially not having any really good friends and not feeling like myself at all. I’ve wanted to write about this for a long time but always felt that you guys would judge me and of course no one likes being vulnerable. Besides that, the biggest...
