wish me luck
I hope, hope, hope this presentation goes well. My partner in the group basically pilfered 90% of my ideas and she’s presenting before me so guess who looks like the douchebag? And I just noticed that she wrote down one of my points on the PowerPoint incorrectly but it’s too late to change it. Argh. I am so over this. I just pray that I won’t be too nervous and stumble over my...
last group project of the semester
Finally I’m not the group leader. It’s nice to not have to worry as much as I normally would. The PowerPoint everyone put together sucks pretty badly but I’m trying to go with the flow and not let it bug me. Eye twitching. Things don’t have to be my way and I don’t have to control everything. If I work on my part of the speech tomorrow, that’s the best I can do....
oh, the wonders of Facebook
Major procrastination = Facebook stalking professors! Dude, it is sooo fun. My 52-year-old Ethics professor is on Facebook and I found out the name of his secretary and the names of his two daughters plus where they go to school.
I also tracked down my Soc professor from last year who, get this, just got engaged to his girlfriend with whom I have friends in common! She’s seven years older...
Today, I went onto Mystery Google, bored. I asked it what I should do and it...

goals
Be a better friend to people I know in “real life.” REALLY slacking in this area.
Stop listening to Party in the USA.
Get through week ten and finals without completely self-destructing.
GTFO of this constant state of denial.
Keep on track with training for a 5K.
Convince myself that the world doesn’t suck. (Unrealistic.)
possible places to study abroad
Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada @ Simon Fraser University — FAVORITE! But apparently everyone thinks it’s stupid to go to Canada…
Vienna, Austria @ IES Vienna Center
Brussels, Belgium @ Vesalius College
Copenhagen, Denmark @ Danish Institute for Study Abroad — Probably too expensive though I have a friend who’s there right now who could tell me about it.

Ask me anything you want. It’ll be anonymous and I’ll most likely post it up here.
P.S. I have jumped on the Formspring train thanks to leahisawkward.
I love my dad, but I kind of wish Keith Mars was my dad.

babies
Babies are so weird. It’s strange to imagine them as human beings when they’re waddling around in their droopy diapers. How do they come from women’s wombs and grow up into full-fledged adults? It’s pretty miraculous/odd if you think about it.
Thanksgiving is a time for reflection and celebration. During these difficult...

I don’t hate Megan Fox. I just think she’s a little scary. It’s the eyes. Creepy.
on school
So ever since last year, I’ve been getting the feeling that people (mostly my parents) think I’m too invested in school, my classes, grades, whatever. I guess I’m lucky in that they aren’t pressuring me to get a 4.0 and that’s the only thing that matters. The thing is, I actually LIKE school. I think that what I’m learning is useful and I want to do as well as I...

You write on banana peels too?!
– Mimi, who sits behind me in Race/Class/Gender.
I fit 24 pages of text on 3 pieces of paper.
I excitedly told this to the person sitting next to me in Ethics. She was not amused.

motivation
Today has been an odd day. I went to sleep very late last night (or more accurately, this morning) so when I woke up this morning, I was pretty tired and in no mood to take a shower. After pressing snooze two times, I decided enough was enough. “Just take a shower. It’s not that hard. You’ll be in a better mood if you do,” I told myself.
I guess I was kind of in a better...
Fuck Yeah Edward Norton →
Just for you, Jen (if you haven’t already bookmarked it).
Mac vs. PC
I wish someone would combine the best of Macs and the best of a PC with Windows into an explosion of super awesomeness. Or rather, I wish I could have all of the Mac programs but with Windows Vista usability because I need a gosh darn right click button. In my opinion, Macs are pretty but PCs are actually usable but I’m a PC person so yeah. Kind of biased. Thoughts?
P.S. Sorry if I messed...
why do group members always suck?
Seriously! Do people take enjoyment out of annoying the members who actually want to get good grades? I am so fed up with group work/papers/projects.
So right now my Computers group (except Mari) is making me want to beat them with a stick but I’ve more or less (okay, definitely less) come to terms with the fact that they suck. But here’s the thing. I was okay with it for a moment...
